Summer Vacay Wish-list

Summer Vaycay Wishlist
Tote/ SunscreenSwimsuit/ Beach Towel/ Havaianas/ Fedora/
Sunglasses/ Tunic Cover up/ Glamour Magazine

It's time to hit the beach and this virtual beach bag is full of my favorite things for this summer season!

  • I have wanted this Robin Piccone one-piece since last season and it still hasn't made it's way home to momma yet (operative word= yet).
  • Vera Bradley showcases colorful and vibrant prints and I love the one on this beach towel!
  • J.Crew Factory has a nice selection of beach essentials and this anchor tunic is one of my faves !
  • Havaianas are great flip flops for the beach and this neon color compliments the color of the sun and will go with pretty much any bathing suit/cover-up combo!
  • This fun fedora from Charming Charlie and Neutrogena sunscreen are two must-haves to protect that beautiful skin of yours!
  • I swear I dream about these killer Karen Walker Sunglasses ! This is the most expensive item on my summer wish-list and my most coveted! My problem is that I can't purchase both the swimsuit and these sunnies.  Which one will it be?!?! Ugh, decisions decisions! (Or I could buy both and not pay my landscaper next month ha!)
  • I switch out my beach totes each season and this striped tote from Forever 21 is right on trend and great on your wallet!
  • Who can forget a great magazine or book?!?! Glamour, Lucky, and People magazine are my favorite beach reads! Some books I recommend for summer reading are: Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, Man of My Dreams by Faith AndrewsBeautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
Today I'm linking up with Stylin in St. Louis and Living in Color Style and I am featured as their Spotlight of the week! Stop by and check it out!!!

Their courage and sacrifice is a reminder of how lucky we are to live in the great 'ole U.S. of A!
Memorial day weekend always gets me nostalgic. When I was in my early twenties, my friends and I rented a house down at the Jersey shore and this was the weekend all the fun started!  Ahhh the good old days!!!

Crop It Out, Meet In The Middle

Ahhh the crop top.  I must admit, when I saw this trending for the spring/summer I thought to myself, "Whomp whomp, I'm totally not pulling this off. " I was the girl who was super excited that tunics became popular because it covered my toosh, never mind showing off my midsection!
Well, I realized I was in luck because  high waisted bottoms (skirts/pants/shorts) are also trending this season! Phew!!! Such a great way to meet in the middle!!! Below are a few crop top outfit inspirations for you to peruse and snag some ideas of how to rock this trend along with me!!!

Love Struck
This look is so feminine and the midi skirt adds the perfect flow to this ensemble! Neutrals are versatile, feminine, and romantic. Perfect for a day event or party!

Let the Lips Do the Talking
This look is made up of some of my recent purchases which I plan to bring to life on the blog! I love this top and short combo because I can tuck the top into the shorts and I can get the cropped look without showing skin.   This look is great for a date night or a girls night and is super fun and sexy!

High Waisted Happiness
High waisted jeans are back in a big way and they look super fab with crop tops! This is a superb, casual, everyday look that is big on style! Leave the house in these rad duds and people will know that YOU know where it's at!
There you have it my dashing dolls! Hope you enjoyed this post!
Spill the beans and let me know which ensemble is your fave!
Now go out there and have a colossally magnificent Memorial Day Weekend and kick off the summer in a big way!!!

Blakely Dress c/o eShakti/ Fuchsia Pumps/ Turquoise Satchel
Earrings/ Sunnies- Gucci/
Have you ever been in the dressing room and thought to yourself "I would totally buy this dress if it was a little shorter, had no sleeves, or a different neckline"? I have!!!  I have also spent hundreds of dollars at the tailor altering pieces to be shorter, more fitted, and custom fit to my size.
Well glam squad, today is your lucky day because I have found the most amazing online store where you can find dresses, tops, jackets, and skirts and customize each piece to fit your exact measurements! What's even more amazing is that to alter these pieces, it only costs $7.50 on top of the cost of the item!!! That is some awesome sauce for sure!!!
The name of this mecca for clothing customization is called eShakti.  They carry sizes from 0-36 and offer such a fun variety of styles for every body type, style, and occasion.
The dress I am wearing is perfect for an afternoon party or brunch with the girls and just happens to be in my favorite color combination, navy and orchid.  The bow, belt, and flower detail are so feminine and adds the perfect touches to this dress.  Oh! and how can I forget, the pockets!!! I love dresses with pockets!! I shortened the length of this dress to fall above the knee from the standard length which was below the knee.  I could not have been happier with the fit, customer service, and finished product of this dress and I hope you take a look around this online shop and find something that tickles your fancy!

Sandals- Nine West- Old- Cute Option Here/ Jessica Simspon Kendra Tote- Here in Black/
Forever 21 Cutout Cuff/ Bracelets- Express- Old/ Necklace- Lia Sophia- Retired/
Hey doll faces! Here are the last pieces I kept from my Stitch Fix  order! I didn't make you wait too long to see all of the pieces I chose! You're welcome (hehe).  The minute I saw this skirt, I knew it was a keeper and it went so well with the button up sleeveless blouse! Instant outfit, just add accessories! My straw fedora was from a recent trip to Banana Republic and I was psyched that I had found such a great staple for my spring/summer wardrobe! I hope you like it too because you will be seeing it quite a lot 'round these parts!

The Cheese Stands Alone
Below are the two pieces that were sent back from my fix.  The dress fit like a glove and the color was to die for but, it was too basic for it's price.  As far as the necklace, it was pretty but, I have so many statement necklaces, I just couldn't justify the purchase.

Thanks for tuning in! Hope you had a stupendous weekend and an even more                                           fabulous week!

The cobalt blue and chevron panel were the perfect marriage of color and pattern to make this top a winner! My Stitch Fix- The Verdict

Howdy my Wednesday Warriors! I am super excited to update you on the "fix" I finally received earlier this month! If you are just tuning in, back in March, I wrote a post (click here to read) about a site called Stitch Fix (an online site that offers a personal styling service).
Here's the deets: You create a style profile and you receive 5 handpicked items right to your doorstep that is chosen by your online stylist.  Try everything on in the comfort of your own home, keep what you like, and send back the rest! It's as simple as that!
Each fix requires a $20 styling fee (which goes towards your final purchase if you decide to make one). Each item comes with styling tips on how dress up or dress down your look (See Below). If you decided to keep all 5 of your items, you will receive 25% off your purchase. You can schedule "a fix" once a month or as you wish.
Below are the 5 pieces that were sent to me by my stylist!

Below are the styling cards for each piece above, giving great visuals of how to wear and style each item.
Due to it's growing popularity I scheduled my fix in March, to be delivered at the end of April.  As I said before, good things come to those who wait and boy was it a good thing!
O.k. Glam Squad here is the verdict: I really enjoyed this fun an exciting process.  My personal stylist did an excellent job choosing each piece.  The price of each piece was fair and in the end, if I purchased each item, the total would've been $189!  I love that you do not have to subscribe and you can decide to do this at your discretion. No pressure, no hassle, and tons of fun!
Stay tuned to see which pieces became permanent staples in my wardrobe!

Hello to all my fabulous fashionistas! Hope you had a fabu time with your mommies this weekend!
Friends, I have been thinking. Yes, I know that can lead to trouble but,  I totally believe in my past life I was a hippie because I cannot get enough of the bohemian look! This outfit is proof that chambray goes with anything! I love the contrast of the chambray against the orange pleated maxi and the ikat print of the bag adds the right amount of pizazz! This look wouldn't be complete without the headband! I stepped a little out of my comfort zone with the headband because I wonder if the look is too young for me, but hey at least I went for it! Moral of the story: Take chances! Hope your week is a marvelous one! Thanks for stopping by! Peace and Love!

Glam Girl Confessions

Express- Linen Cotton Top- Exact Here/ Skirt- Gap Factory- Similar Here at J.Crew Factory/
Belt- Local Boutique Find- Cute Option Here/ Shoes- Seychelles- Old- Fun Option Here/
Clutch- Express- Sold Out Similar HereLove Necklace- Lia Sophia- Here in Silver/ Ring- Exact Here
Holla holla! Hope your week is running smoothly! Glam squad, I have a confession, I'm super obsessed with this linen top from Express. It's similar to their popular Portofino top but in a different fabric (still an amazing fit). I try so hard not to buy pieces for my wardrobe that are the same but in a different color.  Operative word here: TRY!  To me, it takes the special-ness away from the piece and then I feel like I'm constantly wearing the same outfit in different colors.  So when I saw this top, similar in style to the Portofino but not in fabric, I ran right to the checkout line! I keep telling myself it's ok because it's a different texture!  Am I right?!?
This skirt from the Gap outlet is one of my favorite finds and satisfies my need to wear stripes! If you follow along on Pinterest you know I have a true obsession with them! Is that another confession??  The best part about these pieces is that they are so versatile and great for both spring and summer seasons! Happy Friday Eve friends!! Hope you have killer plans this weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there, including mine!!

Hey girlfriends! Happy Tuesday! I was traveling this weekend and I'm still pooped! One of my best girls got married in West Palm Beach, Florida and we partied like it was 1999! She married a great guy and they are the sweetest couple! I just love weddings!
This weekend, I took the time to snap some pictures for the blog in this dress I picked up at Target a half hour before we left for the airport! It was love at first sight and I love the illusion that it is two pieces! Did it fool you too?!? It was so easy to style so straight into the suitcase it went!
I'm also super excited today because I did an interview with Jamie@JK Style (click here to read the interview). It is on her blog today for your reading pleasure! Go check it out and give my girl Jamie some love!
Hope your Tuesday is a glamorous one!
