My husband and I are currently debating on which swim club to join for the summer and the clock is ticking for a decision to be made. Tic, tic, tic.....
While we were scoping out my husband's first pick, we took the opportunity to take some shots for the blog in the pool's parking lot. While I was standing there, freezing my buns off, I was dreaming of a beautiful summer laying by a pool (not sure if it's going to be this one). Unfortunately, The choice isn't so black and white. I know first world problems right?
This sweater is from one of my recent trips to Kohl's where I always expect great things.  I love the over sized look and its comfort level is a 10! I paired it with this Ikat scarf and aqua colored bag to add some color to the look. To all my friends out there that are stuck in the black and white clothing rut, get out there and add some bright and bold accessories! It's not just black and white!
You can do it!

Laser cut pieces are another definite trend I have seen while out and about. It's a great way to add some texture, contrast, and visual interest to your look! Check out these great stylish finds below!

Ah! The one piece jumpsuit! It's a retro look that is back in a big way!  I purchased one last year from Urban Outfitters and I was in love! Jumpsuits are comfortable and easy because all you need to do is add accessories! The only downside, going to the bathroom gets very interesting!

100 Happy Days Challenge! Are you in?

While chatching up on my blog reading, I came upon this 100 Day Challenge featured on the blog "A Beautiful Mess",  challenging people to document things that make them happy for 100 days! I loved the concept, read all about it, and signed up here!

As women we take on many roles and titles and always seem to be a little hard on ourselves.  I try to see the "sweet" in my every day life, but sometimes it hard when it's just one of those sucky days. I will be documenting each day on my Instagram account followed by the hashtag:
Join me as I start today to document my 100 days of happiness! Are you in?

Paisley Prints

How handsome is my Glamscot, Mumford?!?!?  He makes my heart smile!

Outfit Details:
Dress- {Target- Sold out} //Cute Option Here//  //And Here//
Pumps: //Christian Siriano for Payless- Exact Here and on Sale//
Clutch: //Express- Sold Out//  //Similar Option Here//
Navy Trench: {Anthropologie- Old} //Similar Option Here//
Watch: //Michael Kors- Exact Here//
Bracelet: {Lia Sophia- Retired} //Pretty Option Here//

Paisley is one of my favorite prints. Its fun, colorful, playful, and always looking to make a statement! I guess paisley and I have a lot in common! This print isn't for everyone, but it's easier to wear than you think! As long as you keep your accessories solid, and let the dress do the talking, everything else will work together! Wearing prints takes some strategy but as long as every item of clothing knows what side they are on, your look is sure to be a home run!

Hello my fabulous fashion friends! It's officially spring and what better way to celebrate than with these thriving threads!  This look has been one of my favorites since I wore it to my friends bridal shower a few weeks ago.
The neon berry colored top looks so fresh when paired with navy and white. I decided to keep my accessories neutral, nude pumps to elongate the look of my legs and navy tote to compliment the navy stripes. This color combo is enough to add some pep to your step!  I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

I am one of those girls that hates wearing anything twice (especially if it's tagged on Facebook). With many of my friends getting married, having babies, and other events, Rent the Runway has been my "go to" place to get my fabulous fashion attire.
Rent The Runway is a virtual closet that allows you browse dresses and accessories from over 95 designers and rent them for any occasion (black tie, cocktail, date, holiday etc.)for a fraction of the cost. When reserving your dress size, you also receive a back up size absolutely free!  It is the best way to wear expensive designer dresses without making the monetary commitment!
The website is very user friendly, their customer service is top notch, and the best part is that they show everyday woman in each dress so you get a better idea of how it will look on you!  I rented this sexy little number for my girlfriend's bachelorette party and it was a hit!
The only down side to this service: The dress must go back!
See you on the runway!

I wanna soak up the sun, I've got my 45 on so I can rock on....... I hear that Sheryl Crow song in my head every time I stop to enjoy the sun's rays.  I love cold days where the sun still feels warm on your face.  As you have seen in my previous post, my new favorite color is lipstick pink! It's so vibrant and it breathes life into any outfit! This quilted vest is just what the doctor ordered to transition my wardrobe into the spring! I added my cool blue cardigan and my floral top to add to the vibrancy of this look! I chose my navy blue Michael Kors bag because complimented my dark skinny jeans and would keep the focus to the top half of the outfit. We are visually drawn to bright colors and dressing this way can increase your positive mood! So go out there and get happy!

Lipstick Hunter Boots

Outfit Details:
Leather Moto Jacket: {H & M} Last Seen Here
Black Long Sleeved Tee- {Old Navy- Old} //Similar Here//
Striped Tank- {Victoria's Secret PINK- Old//Similar Here//
Hunter Boots- //Big Kids- Exact Here// //Adult Tall// //Adult Short//
Handbag- {Tory Burch Limited Edition- Old}
Scarf- Knitted by Me //Free Pattern- Exact Here//
Hat- {Bought In a Lake Placid} //Similar Here//
I am totally loving my new lipstick hunter boots! You know what I love more? They were only $75! If you own or have shopped for Hunters you know they are $140 a pair.  Well, I picked up a tip from a friend that since my shoe size is a 7, I could fit into the big kid sizes of these boots! So I did a little research, and by gosh by golly it's true!! For all my ladies who have a shoe size of 7 or smaller,(maybe a 7.5 depending on the shoe) you can fit into big kids sizes 4,5, or 6.  My boots are a big kids size 6.  They are close to the same size as the short adult boot (they don't reach the knee), but if you add a cute knee high sock, it gives the illusion that they are taller.  This was such an exciting score because explaining to my Certified Financial Planner husband why I needed a third pair of Hunters was so much easier because of the price! This is definitely my fashion savings tip of the day! Thanks for checking in!
